I made God's e-mail list just in time for election day.
I've recently been treated to tons
of greasy conspiracy theory e-mails/spam from anonymous freedom-loving racists
about President Obama's plan to murder us all.

He's apparently a closet Moslem warrior intent on wiping out about 280 million
Americans, roughly nine of ten. Ebola was just added.

"Warning From Jesus, Ebola Is His Judgment: After I prayed today with a
friend, our Blessed Saviour gave me several visions relative to the ebola (sic)
plague, its spread in this nation and its spread in some other nations....I
saw the President of this nation (underground)...with a small group of people,
though I cannot be certain that they were all humans; and I say this because
of the high-reptile hybrids, who look like humans. However, they are not human,
but can be up to 99% reptilian and they are very great enemies of all people.
I watched them there and I knew that they were in the midst of a plot, a very
great plot, indeed; and that plot was to determine how to spread this virus
among the people in this nation at a more alarming rate."

God or Jesus or both added this: "You will either repent, and turn to Me
with your whole hearts, or you will perish in your iniquities! Woe to those,
who take the mark of the beast! For, that mark is the end of the line for your
souls! I am a Righteous God and I am going to have a holy and righteous kingdom!"

George Carlin, call your office. The God who loves you but will destroy
  you is back.

As I have been reporting since 25
Jan. 1998, we are blessed with the Nevada Federation
  of Republican Assemblies,
dedicated to governing by the Christian Bible.

Among its founders are GOP moonhowlers Sharron Angle, Don Gustavson, Maurice
Washington and Mike Weber, husband of Washoe County Commissioner
Bonnie Weber and a candidate several times himself.

| Ayatollahs
        are always with us |
Last May, I contacted one of their candidates and an officer but got nothing.
Here is the current list of NVRA-endorsed candidates: Ron Knecht, State Controller; Don Gustavson, State Senate District 14; Jill Dickman, Assembly District 31; Chuck Allen, Washoe County Sheriff; Jeanne Herman, Washoe Commissioner District 5; Charlene Bybee, Sparks City Council Ward 5; Vicky Maltman, Sun Valley General Improvement District.
Last May, I asked Mr. Allen for "details about your endorsement."
I'm still waiting.
  The above list is not
published on NVRA's website. Fortunately, Barbwire spies are everywhere.

The organization's precepts have included ending bilingual education, destroying
unions, ending the separation of church and state, banning abortion, affirmative
action, women in combat and homosexuality.

I suggest that before voting, you read about them via links at the expanded
Barbwire web edition at NevadaLabor.com/ (See Ayatollahs are always
  with us, above, left.)

INSIDER ADVICE: If you have a burning interest
in Washoe County school board races,
wait to vote until Nov. 4.

WEB EXTRAS...
TOMORROW'S NEWS TODAY: FEEL UP YOUR FIRE METER. The Reno Gazette-Journal did big spreads on three consecutive Sundays (Sept. 14, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28) on NV Energy smart meter fires. Welcome aboard. Barbwire readers were two years ahead on the fire meter issue. (Touch a Smart Meter, Go to Jail 11 October 2012)
In a blah editorial on Sept. 28, the RGJ praised the Public Utilities Commission for opening an investigation.
What's next? Endorsing motherhood?
I've taken to regularly feeling up my gas and electric meters and those of my neighbors. Heat means your fire meter is about to go torch. Call NVE and pray or 911.
[UPDATE: THE NEVADA FIRE MARSHALL'S INVESTIGATION concluded "don't worry, be happy." I'm still worried and will continue fondling NVE's equipment.
TOAST ALERT. Teachers' union gross profits tax petition supporters and opponents would do well to review the Barbwire of Feb. 28, 2013.
Passage of the tax initiative could easily lead to a successful court challenge that would at the same time blow out not only the revenue hike, but also term limits and the state's worst anti-union laws. Something for everybody.

A thousand thanks to those who already responded and keep sending show suggestions. I've gotten a lot of queries about ballot questions. The Jan. 30 column brought a surge of inquiries about the Nevada State Education Association corporate tax petition on this November's ballot.
Stay tuned.

Please forward additional ideas or vote on the above.
I encourage you to donate to the cause at Barbwire.TV/
The medium that shapes public opinion needs at least one refuge where it is not filtered through the distorted green eye shades of prissy corporate accountants for whom profit is the only priority; where self-censorship is the journalist's normal work environment and where all sins of omission are tacitly encouraged and forgiven with the wave of a balance sheet.
This is important. We've got a lot
  of work to do.
