Barbwire's Greatest Hits HAT TRICK: Barbwire wins 3rd straight Nevada Press Association First-Place Award |
Read this column and you will make money and lose 20 pounds.
If such claims insult you as sucker bait, you're correct.
But you've gone this
far, so let's take a ride.
GOOSING GASOLINE PRICES. BigOil once again
rapes and pillages with impunity after racking up record profits.
As usual, the legit
media parrot petroleum-dipped press releases purveying the perpetual propaganda.
For two decades, I've documented how the domestic cartel figured out how to
beat anti-trust laws and cleverly engineered a rigged market. (See the ever-expanding
Barbwire Oilogopoly Archive at NevadaLabor.com/)
Wall Street's megabank pimps and insurance thieves always knew they had little
to fear from the U.S. Justice Dept. after witnessing decades of inaction against
BigOil.
A recent PBS Frontline documentary entitled The Untouchables described
how no high level corporate criminal has ever been busted for the economic collapse.
An off-the-record source admitted the obvious: chief prosecutor Lanny Breuer was afraid to go to court and lose.
He resigned shortly
after the broadcast.
I've ranted for years that oil companies hire smarter, meaner lawyers than government
can afford.
Mr. Breuer is the poster
child for the problem.
Competition has been eliminated in favor of legalized price-fixing in so many
areas.
The insurance industry has been exempt from anti-trust laws since 1945 thanks to Sen. Patrick McCarran, D-Nev.
Bush the Lesser
gave away untold billions from Medicare to big drug companies.
Now comes Obamacare with no cost controls.
As I noted a couple
of weeks ago, the United Healthcare monopoly plans to use the new online
insurance exchange to bust out the few remnants of Nevada competition.
Everybody knows the fight is fixed.
DISSING HICKSVILLE. Former Washoe County
School Superintendent Heath Morrison trashed us in a recent interview
with the Charlotte Observer:
"In Reno, because the industries that drove Reno were gaming and construction, the truth was, you didnt need to have a college-educated workforce. You didnt even have to graduate from high school. What I love about this (North Carolina) community is the desires to help are very, very sincere. If we dont take advantage of that were going to really miss the boat. At a time were not flush with resources, we have the resource of a community that really wants to help."
The traveling salesman
has apparently forgotten that he famously left us with a literally incredible
hike in graduation rates while scoring national awards for both himself and
the school board.
Only the Barbwire dared print that the Music Man sold the hicks
in River City a song and dance and blew town one step ahead of the awful truth.

SUCKER BETS, PART DEUX. If you missed what
Nevada sports books were trying to tell infatuated 49er fans, you weren't
paying attention. To those who didn't take the Ravens and the points,
the Nevada gambling industry thanks you.

His life's work appeared worldwide, including this newspaper.
